The Bus Maintenance Caucus is a dedicated space for frontline technicians, supervisors, and leaders to collaborate, share best practices, and address challenges in transit maintenance—strengthening skills, safety, and innovation across the workforce. The caucus also supports knowledge sharing around emerging technologies, including the transition to alternative fuel buses, helping agencies stay ahead of industry changes and environmental goals.

On September 4th and 5th, staff from California Transit Works! (CTW) and the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) conducted a two-day training session at TriMet Transit Agency’s Powell Bus Yard Facility.
