The Facilities Maintenance Apprenticeship Partnership (FMAP) continues to build pathways for the next generation of skilled transit professionals. Representatives from the partnership have been meeting with Los Angeles Trade-Technical College to develop the coursework for the U.S. Department of Labor registered apprenticeship program serving the Facilities Systems Technician (FST) classification. This collaboration between LA Metro and ATU Local 1277 will help create structured training pathways that support workforce development and long-term career growth in transit facilities maintenance.
