From Norman K. Tuitavuki, Chief Operating Officer at Monterey-Salinas Transit District | Operations Executive:
"Today we celebrated progress, professionalism, and partnership at MST. We proudly recognized the newest graduating class of Coach Operators. These are individuals who have completed intensive training and now step into their roles as professional MST Coach operators who will serve our communities with excellence, safety, and reliability.

In collaboration with our partners, the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU), we also presented our first-ever “First Out of Class” Champion Belt! The ATU created this new tradition to honor the mentor whose guidance and leadership helped make a successful graduation possible. Mentor, Charles Kirk will hold the belt until another MST mentor earns the title.
This belt is more than a symbol—it represents dedication, teamwork, and our commitment to developing and supporting the professionals who move our region forward.
