SamTrans Site visit September 14, 2026

​It was a beautiful day in South San Francisco on Monday, September 14, 2026, as Susan and Robert met with Siddiqu at SamTrans’ North Base bus yard. We spent two hours together, sharing plenty of laughs while also having some meaningful and serious conversations. Thank you, Siddiqu, for being such a wonderful host. You’re doing an amazing job keeping your mentors engaged and connected as you navigate through the ups and downs of SMART (SamTrans Mentor and Resource Team) mentor program. SamTrans is in the process of purchasing more than 100 hydrogen fuel-cell buses, and Robert and Sue were lucky enough to be there at just the right moment to watch a brand-new bus roll off the flatbed. It was a great visit, a great conversation, and an exciting glimpse into the future of Sam Trans mentoring program. Thank you again, Siddiqu, for your hospitality and for making the day such a memorable one!
